What’s your working background? How did you end up in your current position?
I’ve been working in accounting since I was fresh out of high school in 2011. It took a while for me to decide that I was going to stick with it but eventually I decided to go down the route of studying and getting my qualifications. I’ve always been extremely motivated and career focused and knew from my teen years that no matter what I ended up doing I wanted to operate my own business someday, so in 2021 after a short stint working as an internal accountant for a franchisor I decided that I missed public accounting and working with clients I decided I was going to take the leap. I cut down my full time job to part time and started the business – within 6 months we’d grown enough to where it became my full time job and now we just continue to grow.
What’s your ideal travel destination?
Japan, but I’d also love to visit Egypt and Greece.
Do you have any pets?
I’ve got a maltese x shih tzu named Buddy who I bring to the office a couple times a week, and I’ve also got three cats at home.
If you could work any job in the world, what would it be?
I absolutely love being an accountant but if I were to choose something else I’d try my hand at event management.

What’s your working background? How did you end up in your current position?
I have worked in the accounting industry since 2015, starting in an administration role and processing through to an accountant’s assistant position. I have work along side Cassie in the past and when she approached me regarding working for her, it was a no brainer.

What’s your working background? How did you end up in your current position?
Started in the industry while still living in New Zealand and continued when we moved to Australia. While working in Wellington, NZ I was known as an Accounting Technician and an Auditors Assistant. I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2008 while living in Brisbane. I’ve had some small breaks from the Accounting Profession (I have four children) and chose to trial other professions: Aged Care and Allied health (Therapy Assistant for Speech and Occupational Therapy) which also included NDIS Plan Management. I started with Hervey Bay Tax Solutions in June 2023.
What’s your ideal travel destination?
We traveled a few years ago to a destination that was on our bucket list…. Mount Everest Base Camp – in the middle of their Winter. That was an incredible trip and one we hope to do again (but most definitely a different season). The other destination I would love to visit is Las Vegas. My husband was able to go for our friends 40 th a few years back and has promised we will go someday.
Do you have any pets?
None currently, however when we first moved to Hervey Bay from Agnes Water we had Chickens.
If you could work any job in the world, what would it be?
I really enjoy helping people and I really enjoy numbers…I have been told work is not work if you are doing something you enjoy.

What’s your working background? How did you end up in your current position?
I recently completed my Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting and have been working at HBTS since Oct 2022. This was my first job in this industry.
I was looking for a position in this industry as I neared the completion of my bachelor degree and this position was advertised at the perfect time.
What’s your ideal travel destination?
America – there is so much to see!
Do you have any pets?
Yes, 1. He’s a 15 year old cat named Marco.
If you could work any job in the world, what would it be?
I have so far loved working in this industry but in a dream world, I would work with animals.

What’s your working background? How did you end up in your current position?
I used to work in pubs, restaurants and cafes both here in Hervey Bay and down in Victoria, where I’m from. I’ve also worked for the Fraser Coast Chronicle!
I was looking for something different from hospitality and applied for this opportunity, despite having very little tax experience or plan management experience but having skills in relevant areas.
What’s your ideal travel destination?
Japan, to see Mt Fuji and the cherry blossoms.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, my budgies Monty and Casper, and two dogs, Tully and Rusty.
If you could work any job in the world, what would it be?
I would love to write science fiction or fantasy novels for a living!

I’m from a debt collection background, I ended up working in my current position in 2023 as Cassie is my niece and was looking for some extra assistance around the same time that I was looking for a new challenge.
